Cruising Main with my honey.

Today Marti, Cooper and I had one of those experiences that will go down in our families history. We just had a long day of taking care of car issues and we decided that we would wash our car. We took it to the car wash and after it looked shiny and new, we didn't have the heart to take it on a dirt road. We wanted to go to Martis parents house to get some things but we knew that if we took the car, it would be dirty again and that would negate all the effort. Our Isuzu was having trouble and so we had one more option. This option was mine, and you will understand why by the following story. I own a 1976 mail jeep, right hand drive and born to turn heads ( ha ha ). Marti looked at me like I had just shocked her with a hot shot, she hesitated and then reconsidered. Her precious car was so clean and yet it was hard to imagine riding in the back of a dirty funny looking beast of burden like that. Yet.........I headed out on the highway xm radio blasting on an all treble speaker, engine humming, side door open and special cargo in the back. You should have seen it, it brought a tear to my eye. My son grinning from ear to ear enjoying the adventure and Marti holding on for dear life. We hit the bridge and I gave the jeep all she had ( to impress my woman of course) and up the hill she went at a solid 60 (top speed ). Needless to say I'm impressed with my wife she is the best mother, a stellar eternal companion and........ My best delivery yet.

I love you Marti,

Josh

Coop Dog

Do you see what i (Coop Dog) did?

Yes i put big holes in my pants this year. I was just having way to much fun with hot wheels, playing dinosaur, dragons, football games, hitting the baseball hard then having to slide, wrestling with my uncle Gunner and daddy. Yep its been a fun winter but today my mom did something i think is pretty clever.

She cut my holes off and made shorts for me so i can look good this spring! I think they are awesome. Now i can run super fast and no one can catch me. Well catch ya later i'm going outside to play.
Your friend,
Coop Dog

ps. Happy weekend!

Coops conversation with his aunt Misti and uncle Stratton

Stratton: "Cooper are you handsome or ugly?"

Coop: "HANDSOME!"

Stratton: "Are you so handsome you can pick up chicks?"

Coop: "No, but I can run fast to catch chickens!"

He's one funny kid! Really the conversation was with Stratton but Misti was there laughing the whole time.

all about the baby

Last Wednesday we took Coop with us to my doctors apportionment. It was his first one he has ever gone too. I was praying all day that everything would be okay and that Coop would enjoy seeing his baby. Well things went great the baby was healthy and moving like crazy. I never seen Coops eyes so big and he was asking a million questions. He wanted to know why his heart didn't beat that fast. I was so happy we took him because now he understands that there really is a baby in my belly. He was so cute.
I know being pregnant my emotions are everywhere and that I can cry at anything. But in that little room i had never felt so much happiness before. Looking at my baby on the computer screen holding hands with my husband who had our little boy on his lap really what could be better then that. So much love and so much happiness. Two miracles that was all around us, one in my womb and one on my hubbies lap. This is happiness, this is what life is all about.
So many friends and family have been worried about us and have been praying, fasting and offering any kind of help. I'm not very good at showing my emotions face to face but i want you guys to know how grateful i am to have such wonderful friends and family. We just want to say Thank You! Thank You! We love you all very much!
The baby is healthy, growing bigger everyday and has a heart beat. That's really all that matters. They did find out that i have a cyst on my ovary and if it doesn't stop bleeding i will have to have surgery but it shouldn't hurt the baby. This pregnancy has been a roller coaster but i know it will be all worth it.
After the ultrasound was over Coop leaned over to me and said, "MOM, you really ate lots of sea weed!" For any of you that don't know Coop thinks you have to eat sea weed to get a baby in your belly. Oh he is one funny boy always full of laughter.

lots of love,
Marti

old photos

This weekend Josh helped his parents move and him and his brother Jason found some old family photos. As we were looking at them and of course laughing at what they were wearing and at the crazy hair dues. There was this one picture that really caught my eye. I wonder why?

It was funny i held this picture up and asked Cooper if he knew who this picture was and he said without any hesitation that it was him. To be exact his words were "that's me" and he was surprised when i said, "no that's your DAD!"

What do you think? Is that a little Cooper or what?

(Farewell)

A week full of family. Josh's grandparents are going on a mission to Nauvoo. They leave in a week and today was their farewell in Church. Coop has a soft spot for his grandpa Despain and loves to sit on his lap and read books together. We are going to miss them dearly and hope they have a enjoyable and safe mission. We love you guys!
This is Grandpa and Grandma Despain with their great grandchildren and only one is missing plus three on the way. The Despain family is sure getting big!

And is anything better then a vacuum ride? Coop doesn't think so, he loved it!

We had a great weekend!

Our LOVE day

7 years ago on March 5th I married my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with and love.

As we grow older together as we continue to change with age, there is one thing that will never change... I will always keep falling in LOVE with you.

I love you Josh forever and always.
Love your girl,
Marti
