little things

Okay this post is just random pictures.  Brewer's first day of joy school.  He loves it and I love that every 5 weeks I'm able to be his teacher.

Cooper's first day of 3rd grade!  He is the big kid at school and loving it.  He is one smart cookie.  So proud of him.
Isn't he handsome!  On Wednesday he will be turning the big 9!  Crazy to me.  It feels like yesterday Josh and I were taking him home from the hospital all bundled up in a small blanket.   He has been one of my greatest blessings.  I love this kid so much.  I hope that I can always be the mom he is proud of because I know that he will always be the son that i will forever be proud of no matter what he does.  Love my Coop Dog!
This was taken right after his soccer game, which he scored 2 goals.  He is a pretty awesome soccer player, but next year he wants to play football.
Halloween 2013, Harry Potter and Spider-man!
 Scary!
Warm day so we headed to the pond to build sand castles.  Sure was fun getting our hands in the dirt and making something.  I love hanging out with my boys.
Well, that's kind of whats been going on at the DeWitt home.

So proud of my boys!

So proud of my boys!  Today they rocked it on their primary talks in the the primary program.  It's moments like these that make me love being a mom.
This was Brewers first time being a sunbeam and having a part in the program and he did awesome.  I was pretty nervous if he would say his part or freeze but he didn't he said it so well.  His part was, "God is my Heavenly Father, He knows and loves me."
Cooper was beyond amazing.  He had a 1 minute talk on how the the Holy Ghost has helped him Choose the Right.  He gave a poem that he memorized and finished with a beautiful testimony about the Holy Ghost.

I was so proud of my boys.  Yes, I cried almost the whole time but I'm really one lucky mom to have such wonderful boys.  I love them!

Spider-man

Look who turned 4.  Brewer is growing up and even though I have mix emotions about him growing up i do love the boy he is growing into.  I'm pretty sure he had a great birthday.  We started the morning off with opening presents then birthday breakfast.  The boy only wanted cereal.  Then he was off to joy school, and they had a little party for him there.  After school Brewer and I had a lunch date at McDonald's, and after lunch we decided to get Cooper out of school and head to the park with cousins and friends with cupcakes and drinks. To finish with a bang we had pizza for dinner and cake and ice cream with grandparents.  He sure was spoiled rotten!  I love my not so little spider-man!

Spider-man was spotted helping little kids at the park.

together forever

This is on Cooper's baptism day!  He had 9 grandparents there that love and support him.  Grandma Brewer is the sweet lady sitting on the chair next to Cooper. She passed away on Saturday morning.  She was 96 and full of life.  I  know she is happy being with her sweetheart and her two daughters.  One of her daughter passed away 2 weeks ago because of cancer.  Aunt Debbie, who was only 60 at the time, is very dear to my husbands heart.  She had josh live with her and her family after he graduated from high school.  Aunt Debbie helped him prepare for his mission.  So, this month has been a emotional one.  Saying goodbye to these two lovely ladies isn't easy but I'm so grateful and feel so much comfort in knowing that families will be together forever.  I better stop there. I don't think I can write much more without crying.

Big lake with my boys!  I love going up there with my boys.  Big lake is so beautiful and peaceful.
We had the best time trying to fish, eating a picnic, and hanging out with family.
I love making memories like these with my boys.

I'm back

I'm back!  I know I haven't been on my blog in a long time.  I even thought about shutting it down and then today I got on it and started reading old post and laughed and cried. Its crazy how fast Cooper has grown up and I love that i have so many pictures of him and all the funny things he would say.  I thought i needed to keep on doing this for my boys. I'm back and will try to post more often.
This summer is going by so fast.  I have enjoyed every minute of it and I think I'm wearing my boys out, but it sure has been fun.  My sister Misti and her family are home for the summer from school in Chicago and my brother Porter and his family is home for the summer from PT school in Texas.  He is actually doing a rotation at summit hospital.  I have loved having family home.  My sister is kicking my butt and making me run and play softball and volleyball with her.  I love it, but can hardly walk at the end of the day.  I'm getting way to old but what can i say i love to play.  Josh is still busy with work and school.  One day he will be finish with school, we hope.
Cooper is done with baseball for the summer and he did awesome this year.  He had two home runs in 1 game.  The boy can hit the ball.  I signed him up for his first swimming lessons.  Cooper could kind of swim from what Josh and I would teach him but this year I thought he might like learning from someone who really knows what the swimming moves are called and how to actually do them.  He did great and is a little fish all over the place.  Lately Cooper tries hard to cover up the truth from me.  It might be the age, but its been a long road this summer of teaching him its better to be honest with me from the beginning.  I love my Cooper he is really a great kid.
Brewer is as stubborn as they come.  He knows just what to do to be the boss around our house.  He is a little thinker.  He can sit for a long time looking at something and you can see his little mind thinking and then all out of the blue he will say something with not so many words.  He cracks me up.  I also signed him up for swimming lessons this summer and the silly kid was scared of the swimming pool  So i had to go in with him for the first couple of times.  He kept calling it a pond and asking why there isn't any fish in this pond.  Ha ha!  By the end he was kicking and trying to swim but maybe next year he will actually do some real swimming.
Here is some summer pictures. Roosevelt and Lyman lake and of course lots of swimming at the pond.  Some days i feel like all i do is wake up. Go running. Come home clean as fast as i can. Make the boys breakfast.  Pack a lunch.  Put on our swim suits and go to the pond for the day.  It sure has been fun and I'm really not looking forward to school starting.

Update

Brewer loves driving on dirt roads.  He loves riding his bike.  Loves to watch diary of a wimpy kid.  Loves to play with his big brother.  Loves finding all the the phone chargers and hiding them.  I find tons of special things from Brewer under his bed.  I think his goal is see how much stuff he can put under his bed.  He loves to sing.  Lately he has been speaking with big words and it makes me laugh so hard.  He is a smart little cookie but he would rather learn while playing instead of sitting down and doing school.  I love this little boy.

Cooper loves school and his teacher.  He is way to smart for me but it makes me so proud of him.  He loves playing with friends and isn't shy at all.  I've been playing lots of basketball with him and he is doing pretty good.  He is pretty excited that baseball is starting.  He is growing up and acts so old.  The other day he asked me if he should donate his dinosaurs and it made me sad because i do miss my little boy that ran around my house screaming at the top of his lungs pretending to be a t-rex.  I told him todonate them to Brewer but then later that night Cooper was sitting on the floor with Brewer and playing dinosaurs.  It made me smile.  I love my Coop Dog!

Josh and I have been so busy.  Josh is always working or doing school work.  He does try hard to find time for family but its not as often as we would like but we do love it when Dad is home.  I'm still going to school and helping out at the Jr high.  Its been fun getting to know the students and I love it when I actually know what I'm doing and can help them.  I'm still running and love cooking healthy meals and snacks.  I love finding new healthy recipe to try and lately I'm crazy about smoothies.  I have lost 82 pounds and hoping for 50 more.  Its been harder lately.  I think my body needs a change so I've been trying different things and workouts to see if that will help, but really,I'm really happy with what I have done even if I'm not a size 4.  I feel so good, and I love it.

I wanted to start this post with the bottom picture but something was going on with my computer.  So I guess I will start with my Sunbeam.  Yes, Brewer is a Sunbeam and he loves it!  Crazy because he hated nursery.
Cooper is a Valiant 8 and Josh and I are his teachers.  I love it and I love the class even though I have a wild bunch of boys.
Santa found on us on Christmas morning.  I always think Josh and I are more excited for the boys then they are but I guess that's what makes Christmas seem like magic.  Cooper was shocked that he was a good boy and got what he wanted a bow and arrow.  Brewer, was jumping up and down when his eyes found his spider man bike and of course he made sure it had a horn.  We enjoyed Christmas with both our families this year.  We spent Christmas eve with Josh's family and then had Christmas breakfast with mine and then had Christmas dinner with Josh's family.  It was late when we got home so we left our house a mess with Christmas all over it and cuddle up in my bed and watched Coopers new movie Diary of wimpy kid, and all feel asleep.
I'm excited for the New Year!
