love her and love this

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing my neighbor's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with the children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." Marjorie Pay Hinckley

i'm having way to much fun.

I've been busy and the fun kind of busy. I went out to lunch 3 days in row. Celebrated my mother in laws birthday and we took her out to trappers for lunch. The cool thing at lunch was there was five generations of women there. I burned 3 dinners and have no clue how and Josh hasn't stopped teasing me about it. My sister Misti and brother Porter both moved home for a while. Its going to be fun having them around. I bought a new bedspread for my bedroom, its dark brown and isn't my style at all. When i bought I thought it was going to be different but when i put it on my bed Josh fell in love with it and has begged me to keep it. So I guess I'm stuck with it for awhile but i think I'm going to make it work. Change is good sometimes, right? My baby is pulling himself up on the furniture and i keep on pulling him down. Cooper wants to grow his hair out long like Zack and Cody. So Josh said we won't cut it until September. I also signed Cooper up for kindergartion in August. I'm already missing him. Its going to be hard for me to not have him home all day but i know he's going to love it.
Cooper told his dad that he would love to be a wal-mart worker or work at McDonald's. He said they are his favorite places to go. This week I made my weekly trip to wal-mart. Coop was in the cart with Bruiser and said, " I'm surrounded by girls. I can't work at wal-mart there's to many girls." I guess he's going to have to go with his second choice and be a McDonald's worker.
I hope this next week is going to be just as fun:)

flowers and books

today I was planting flowers and I had tons of help from Coop. He was right by my side watching and wanting to do everything. As we were planting we found tons of worms. Coop said with tons of excitement, "Oh good, worms are so good to help flowers grow." I had to laugh because he was so happy to see worms in the soil. I asked Coop how he found out that worms are good for the soil. He said as he was shaking his head like I was so stupid, "mom, i read books." He cracks me up and he's to smart for his own good but i hope he's right about worms being good for the soil. I hope they don't kill our flowers or i will have one sad boy.

Bruiser

Today my baby is almost 8 months old. He's growing up to fast.
At the doctors today he weighed in at 20.5 lbs
He was 30 in. long and so he's off the charts in height.
I think he's going to be my basketball player and play my position (center and forward).
The Doc also said that he has such beautiful eyes that its going to be hard to keep the girls away. Josh replied we call them big blueberry eyes. The doctor thought that was fitting. Bruiser also got shots and i think it was harder on Coop dog watching his baby cry. Coop had is eyes shut and his hands over his ears. Bruiser did good and stopped crying as soon as the doctor gave him a sucker. The funny part was Bruiser had the sucker almost gone as soon as we got in the car and was mad at me for taking it away. We love our baby and we are so grateful that he is healthy and happy.

PS. Have i told you Bruiser is crawling all over the house. I think I've lost 5 pound chasing him around. He sure is curious and wants to taste and touch everything he can reach. He's a mess but we love it.

PSS. Congratulations to Uncle Porter, Uncle Stratton and Uncle Jason. We are so proud of you guys and are grateful to have such smart Uncles:) Enjoy your big day!
Happy Weekend!
