Valentine Wreath

Tonight for FHE we made valentine wreath.
I love homemade gifts and i love them even more when my boys make them.
All we needed was construction paper, scissors, glue and a black marker.
It was simple enough for Cooper to do all by himself and I have to admit i loved making it with him.
The best part was having Cooper go tape them on his Grandparents front doors and
he can't wait for them to call.

me

today i woke up with half my right eye all red.
it scared me to death.
a million things went through my mind about my health.
i called josh and sent him a picture of my eye.
he showed nurses and doctors at the hospital.
they all thought it was high blood pressure.
they sent josh home to take care of me.
i went to the doctor and my blood pressure was fine.
it was so low.
the doc said he thinks one of my blood vessels in my eye broke.
in four days it should be okay.
i'm grateful that it wasn't anything bad but it sure made me think about how i need to take care of myself and thats just what i'm going to do.
its all right to be a little selfish every once and awhile right?

ps. when i picked Cooper up from school and i showed him my eye. he said he thinks i ate to much hot sauce. he cracks me up and i really needed that laugh today.

always sunshine

Have i ever told you how much i love this kid?
I always look forward to 11:45 am because its the time I get to pick him up from kindergarten.
Have i ever told you how he loves to talk?
He can talk and talk forever.
Cooper jumps in my car with a shy smile and says, "i got chased from a pack of girls. "
Me, "a pack? Were they werewolves."
Coop laughs,"they didn't catch me because my nike shoes are so fast.
Me, "did you have fun today?"
Cooper, "Be calm mom, the teacher showed us a bear, but don't worry it was dead."
I can't wait to pick him up tomorrow.

starting to feel right.

This year has been a little crazy.
We moved.
Josh's parents were kind enough to let us move in with them so Josh can focus on school. We couldn't be more grateful for them. I have to admit its been a big adjustment on me but this past week things have started to feel right.
Cooper is loving kindergarten. He lights up whenever he talks about school. He is starting to sound out words and has been reading books to me at night. He can't wait for tee-ball to start. He loves playing ping pong with his daddy.
Brewer is getting so big. I look at him and wonder where my baby went. He is for sure my boy. He loves his bottle and I'm having a hard time taking it away from him.
Josh started classes again. He still is working two jobs. He is one busy guy.
Me, I'm trying to keep up with my boys.
This year is going to be different but i know everything is going to be alright.
This kid is a crack up. He comes up with some silly faces.

here comes trouble

Don't let this cute little face fool you.
I think we should change his middle name to trouble.
He keeps us all on our toes.
Always trying to see how far he can go and doesn't listen to no.
Always pulling silly faces.

Or has a cheesy grin which he loves to give when he knows he's in trouble.

At least he's the cute kind of trouble.
Love this boy!

playing in the snow

I'm usually not a fan of snow but I can't complain on how beautiful it looks when all you see is white powder. Cooper had a blast playing in it with his uncle Stratton and aunt Misti. Brewer didn't know how much he liked it but he loved walking in it if holding his Grandma Caldwell's hand.
We had a wonder New Years Eve celebrating it with my family. My dad made his famous steaks and then we sat around the fireplace and played games. It was relaxing. I was surprised on how good Cooper was at the games. He sure is growing up, both my boys are and its making me sad to see the baby boy in them disappear but it sure is fun watching them grow and find their own identity. I'm looking forward to 2011. My goal for this year is to relax, enjoy, laugh out loud and make tons of happy memories with my boys.

Happy New Year!
